Our focus is on the three Cās of Farm to School:
Classroom, Cafeteria, and Community.
Not only do we coordinate local food purchases for the school systems we work with, but we also provide in-cafeteria tastings of unique produce. Our raised beds at schools program help kids approach gardening in a fun, healthy, exciting way and shows them the joy of nature and growing their own food. Gardening engages all five senses, encourages healthy eating, introduces STEM concepts, helps kids learn how to organize, and teaches them to be great environmental stewards. Learning Landscapes introduces kids to the garden, but it is so much more than that. They learn about the world, how to work together, and where our food comes from!
With many community-focused programs, we help educate and promote healthier communities around social, environmental, and nutrition focuses. From Grow Your Own programs to workforce development we are here to support the well-being of a healthier community that in turn helps raise thriving kids.
